In Will Thurman’s paintings, the canvas serves as a chaotic storyboard populated with hybrid characters where narratives intertwine. Using a vibrant palette, the artist sends us to a parallel universe that balances humour with darker themes, unveiling the complexity of existence.
Often incorporating practices such as embroidery and silk painting to dissect social, cultural, and political history, Lien Truong investigates the influences that shape contemporary identity and belief systems.
Working across sculpture, painting and cinema, Tran Nu YenKhe creates worlds where light and shadow engage in a subtle dance and tensions between form and material play out.
